Siberians are described as heavy-bodied cats with broad cheekbones and rounded muzzles. They should have a short strong neck and broad chest.
The body is of medium length in a rectangular format.
The ears are of medium size and set wide apart. The eyes are slightly oval and set level.
Their coat is semi-longhaired with a dense undercoat, long ruff and trousers and a broad, bushy tail.
Siberians are accepted in all coat colours and patterns except cinnamon and fawn.

The Siberian is the national cat of Russia. It is a natural breed that has existed for many hundreds of years.
Siberians are active and inquisitive, playful and energetic. They are sociable and enjoy living with other cats.
They can have a very independent streak and are quick to learn. They are generally not very vocal but will let you know when they want something.
Siberians are a large breed and take several years to develop to their full size.
The Siberian coat is particularly beautiful but is easy to maintain and does not require massive amounts of grooming.
